ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello. My name
is Scott Chandler, I am the owner and photographer of Milepost 318
Photography. I'm pleased to have you visiting my website and portfolio.
I'm a native-Nevadan
born in Reno in 1974. I'm happily married to my wife and best friend,
Nikki, of almost 10 years and reside today in northern Nevada. I've
been capturing photos of various subjects since 1988 using both film
and now digital camera equipment. I pride myself and my success on
a personable demeanor, creative skills, collaborative networking with
other photographers and artists, and a professionalism that contributes
to each job's success. As a photographer, I am constantly seeking
new challenges to place upon myself no matter the subject material
or technique.
Many people
ask how did I arrive at the name of 'Milepost 318 Photography'? Usually
one of the first questions I get is "What does Milepost 318 mean?".
Simply put, my family roots are based in railroading and my dedication to this site and business is tied to this. My early years in photography
were of railroading action in the rugged Sierra Nevada mountain range
of northern California; railroads use milepost markers as reference
points to places and towns along their routes. Milepost marker 318
is a scenic place along the Feather River in northern California where
I used to camp as a young man. But most importantly, it is where I
proposed to my beautiful wife in 2000. For me, the name Milepost 318
it is a way to never forget the experiences and way of life that I
was raised with in my past, and a way to live today.
If you are looking
for family, wedding, school, youth athletics, business, modeling portfolios,
or executive portraiture, or if you see an image on my website that
you'd like to have replicated for your home or office; please allow
me the opportunity to serve you and exceed your expectations.
Thank you for
visiting.
